IT Security Training

"Ensuring the security and privacy of our customers’ data is a key foundation to Xero’s unique IT and system-design. Since doing the hacker-training our team has approached coding from a far more real attack-and-defence perspective, giving the system the security and robustness we need."
Rod Drury CEO – Xero

IT Security Training for the DEVELOPERS

One of the most effective forms of defence is a pro-active approach, get your developers and IT staff security aware. for more info download our course brochure

Format

For the DEVELOPER and ADMIN level courses we have full "hack-able" web-servers that we "hack" into using both the latest and most common attacks.
When the attacks are understood we move onto today's defences and strategies for ongoing defence.

Locations and Date

We are available ANY TIME to perform training onsite if you have 6 or more devs/admins on the course (typical numbers are 10 to 20)
We are also running public courses in November in Auckland, Wellington and Christchurch CONTACT US for more details and to arrange bookings.

IT Security Training for the WHOLE IT TEAM

Although it's vital to have the security training for the developers, it's most effective if the rest of the IT group are also aware of the threats and know what IT Security steps need to be performed at each step in the SDLC (software development lifecycle) Attendees typically include Project Managers, Product Managers, Business Analysts, Architects, Testers and Support Staff.

Format

For the WHOLE IT TEAM level courses we run through real-world attack examples, to make sure everyone has an understanding of the threats.
We then cover all the steps required for the secure software development life-cycle, including full workshops.
